Michael Embry is the author of Baron of the Bluegrass (TowleHouse Publishing), a bio/quote book about late University of Kentucky basketball coach Adolph Rupp. The book tells Rupp's life story through his own words and those of friends, players, and relatives. It is available in bookstores and on the World Wide Web. Embry also wrote two mainstream novels, A Long Highway (Domhan Books), The Touch (Neighborhood Press). The Jesse Stuart Foundation has copies of A Long Highway along with a great collection of books by other Kentucky authors available on its Web site. Embry's third novel, Foolish is the Heart, will be published in August by Wings ePress. Another novel, A Confidential Man, is slated to be published in the near future. He has written two other non-fiction sports books, Basketball in the Bluegrass State: The Championship Teams and March Madness: The History of the Kentucky High School Basketball Tournament. Both books are out of print.
